Why "RE:wind?"

Finally got the blog up and running again. I used to blog quite a bit, mostly on Myspace. My good friend and brother Micah Espinoza encouraged me today by launching his blog. Check it out:

Why did I choose the name "RE:wind?" To be honest with you, it has alot to do with the prefix, "RE." This last year or so, God has really put alot of words on my heart, such as:
Rewind
Repent
Renew
Return
Rebuild
Refresh
Restore
Refocus
and Receive

I'm in a place in my life where God has restored me. He has allowed me to receive renewal and restoration in my life after several mistakes that cost me pretty much everything, including my marriage, my family, and ministry. Through repentance and transparency with my close friends and accountability partners, God has rebuilt my life. My family has been restored. I have a new marriage. A new baby. Great, yet challenging teenagers. He has returned me to a place of favor where I'm sitting under the shadow of His wings. And He has done this by allowing me to "rewind." By reminding me of my first love. And that was for Him. By reminding me who I am and what I am called to do. And by helping me to refocus on the plan God has for my life.

In this blog, you will here me use the "re" words alot. Because they mean alot to me. My life has and will continue to change because of these "re" words. And I truly believe that sometimes before we can move forward we have to first go back. We have to "RE:wind."
